The Creature That Ate Sheboygan!

Not all my games involve huge maps with huge numbers of pieces.  This is a very fun little game from 1979, which is basically Godzilla vs. A City.  The Godzilla player gets one piece:  Godzilla.  The City play gets a variety of units, with the traditional goal of stopping Godzilla from trashing the town.  What makes it cool is that before the game, the Godzilla player can select from a variety of Monster Powers, like Flying, Giant Leap, Make Spiderwebs, Flame Breath (of course!), and Hypnosis ( which lets you Mind Control the City units!) , amongst others.

 The rules.

The map is quite small...that's a quarter at the top, one of my few.  You can't have it.  I mean it....stop looking at it!

It's a very cool game that plays in about an hour, and because you can make the monster quite different each time, it has a lot of replay value.  If you can ever find it, pick it up!

"Ubi" was my favorite map game. It's the only game I could ever beat my F-I-L. at.

I would check for other prioes first if I were actually in the market. And I'd bid on that British set first if I went the eBay route. But it's irrelevant, as I don't have the time and don't have the money. Alas....

heh heh... a great name for a game, no doubt!
board game geek - killer site - I found it a while back.... don't really know much about 'role' games, but dig the 'general' board games, especially from my childhood... neat to go look up and 'remember' some of those old Parker Bros. and Milton Bradley games...but a bit of a kick in the teeth to see some of them going for $100 or more...dang, I had a LOT of those...oh well.
Hope all is well, Ron!
KIG!
