Michigan Central

I was born and raised in Detroit. If you ever go there, cruse by this, the old abandoned train station. Much of Detroit has abandoned buildings, but few as grand as this 1913 Beaux Arts structure... used in the Transformers movie, and also The Island.

Who filmed this? Why were the cars inside? Based on the warbly support beams, I don't think I'd be parking my car in there.

Okay, it wouldn't let me watch the video at first for some reason. But then it did, so scratch that first comment, haha. I had just been confused, cause I see you didn't shoot inside the train station, but shot inside the old Michigan Theatre. I didn't realize you had exterior footage of MCS as well cause the video clip wouldn't work at first. But to answer Camie Vog's question, they converted part of the old Michigan Theater into a parking garage. A majority of the remaining building is abandoned still, though. I'm glad they're still using it, I just wish it was as a venue and that it looked the way it did 80 years ago. :(
