No, I haven't forgotten you.

I know this blog feels abandoned....but it never was.  I just didn't know what to write here.  Personal stuff, jokes, toy stuff, food stuff...or something else?

I decided to just write about whatever I'm thinkin' about.  I do some writing over at Ambiance, but maybe this is where Ron should write about Ron.

It's been a terrible, terrible two years....things started bad, got worse, got worser...and the other night....I can't even talk about it yet, it's still too raw.  There's been a mild uptick the last few days, but, wow, there is so far to go.

I've lost a few along the way, and that, I guess is on me.  I understand.  But I want to make things better, better for myself, better for others.

I miss some of you who have gone....a lot.  You know who you are.  Come back.

I know it's been awhile precious little blog....but I will be back more often, if for no other reason I need a place to drone on without offending others and being an annoyance on the Internet generally!

But my head is in a better place even if other things are not very good.

So the more I write...the more I'll be writing here!

And here it is 5 months late, and I haven't posted! But I have posted from time to time over at Ambiance, and I tweet like a crazy person. Perhaps Twitter has taken some of my posting energy! But a blog is the place for longer thoughts and more...hmmm...fermented thoughts! I'm in the midst of a long healing process, physically, emotionally, financially, maybe even spiritually! Some things have not gotten better, but I am solving some others. So, this post is just a placeholder for more detailed descriptions when the problem fighting is in the past. I apologize to my few readers for this long gap. Ron

Yes, It has been awhile....but I have never forgotten the blog, honest! This year has been a tough one in terms of many changes and I'm still not done yet. I will return with more snappy patter when that side of me has grown back into place....right now there's just sadness and illness and a lot of things I hope someday to forget. But I will be back and I'll bring Fred and Ginger with me, count on it. Ron

It's mid January and I'm still here....but for how much longer I'm not sure. I have no idea how much writing I'll be doing in the short term, but never fear, the blog will go on! I have a lot of things to straighten out, and it may take some time, so your patience will be appreciated. Soon to be 55....I may have a birthday post on the 31st, we'll see.

Chicken Broil!

Every year around this time... Manchester has their huge chicken broil....which seems to occur during the time Ann Arbor is also having it's Art Fair.  For years, Miki and I have talked of going....but this year we actually did so!

This is my plate...I'm already attacking the chicken!  Chicken, cole slaw, chips, roll, radishes(!) and a drink.... a good deal, set in a huge field with a band playing also.

Very near my house there's an excellent place for all sorts of sausages, bacon, etc. named Biercamp, and Friday, my friend Mike and his brother went with me there for the excellent beef sandwiches....complete with onions, pickles and a horseradish mayo....man, I could have had several!
When you come to A2...don't miss them!  (I especially love the bacon!)

Let's see....I lost power for the better part of 2 days.....no phone, no online, nada! 
They decided to rip up the road in front of my house.....
When I tried to escape....Giant Cloudbursts would show up just to say, "Nope, you're stayin' home!"
The weather was beastly, and by the end of the second day....I was pretty messed up, dizzy and nauseous... no matter how much water I was drinking!

On top of that...I still several demons to slay as well!  Oy!
