Flat on me back!
I have had some writing in mind, but my back has been bothering me, so I've been trying to take some stress out of it...and on top of that, my foot has been suffering as well! Jeez! Don't get old...

Austerlitz Day!
On this day in 1805, Napoleon destroyed the Third Coalition, in perhaps the Supreme Victory of L'Grande Armee! This is the day we should use to relish those well-deserved accomplishments we all have.

wha happened?
For those of you who don't know, I missed all of September because I was in the hospital with Legionnaire's disease. It was pretty serious, and at first, I was in bad shape. But after two + weeks in UM hospital, I seem to be ok now! I may have some long term issues, but the main thing is I ain't dead, and I have a large number of people to thank. First, I have to give up a lot of love to Camie; she's been an absolute trooper through this crisis, and the master of the house of Fluff. I simply can't believe the energy that flows through this crazy Interweb, and comes back to me through many amazing people, notably Amba, Trooper York, Darcy, Chickelit, Freeman... if I forgot anybody by name you definitely get the Oscar thanks!
I was looking through some of my older posts here, and I forgot how much fun this whole blog has been for going on 6 years now. I'll be trying to get back to that sense of fun here and I'm working on a writing project (with Amba's prodding!) which I'll hammering away at. Am I really a writer? I may need to embrace this, mind and heart.

Coffee Hello!
Oh, wait, I'm not on Twitter....
The hash browns are still warm, the coffee's good...I'm still sort of tired, but what of it?
OMG, Cynnie is right, Ms. Parker has no butt...how did she get famous?
Let's see...watched both Death Race and Hellboy II this past weekend...both recommended.
I'm going back to watch CSPAN...

Toy Series #7 "Rushmore +++"
Yow!
Monster George, Monster George,
Stomped the British at Valley Forge...
Well, thanks to the noble chickelit we now have our missing Washington -- sort of! I didn't realize that Marx made different sizes for this figure set...so what one is mine? Curious...

Toy Series #7 "Rushmore -"
The "Rushmore" sessions, Day 1:
Tom: Teddy, Abe
Abe: S'up
TR: Hey! Where's George?
Abe: Yeah, is he late...again? Prima Donna!
Tom: George is in a pitch meeting with Warners on the West Coast, with Chickelit!
Abe: Is it that "Denture Movie" prequel again? No one wants a feature about the ancestor of an obscure Bond villain!
Tom: No, this is Bennie Arnold, Burn In Hell! Probably better with the tween demo anyway.
Abe: Who's playing him? Barry Bostwick? No powder needed for that wig! [raucous laughter]
TR: Hey, that's better than Mork from Orc! Was Russell Crowe busy that week or what?
Tom: or Nick Nolte
Abe: Uhhh... I didn't mind Raymond Massey...but I wouldn't try to kill Cary Grant!
JFK: Fellows, if we need a "Father of The Country", I'll be happy to, uh, fill in!
TR: Dude, give it up!

Toy Series #2
OK, so I've been nudged about the pics here for the Toy Series, but I couldn't figure out a way to get a clear pic of something so small....but the scanner can do it!
When I was a lad, I got a giant, detailed model of the Capitol Building. This thing was almost 4 feet long! I've lost that over time, but it did come with...a set of US Presidents! These are teeny; they're only 2 inches tall! I still have most of the set...minus some casualties (like Washington) This company was also going to make a White House model, but I don't think they ever did...
I post John Adams today...Perhaps, if people are interested, I'll post a few more Prezs!

Christopher Walken on Golf
Golf. My God, that's a mysterious occupation. I know people who are — good friends — who are absolutely smitten, practicing their swing and talking about it. I can understand some sort of sport where your body got a benefit, like marathon running or bicycle racing. That's not golf. And not only that, but the whole business of standing in the sun — my God. That's like torture.

The New Fluffy Theme Song
Normally this would be ZZ Top's "Heard it On The X", but we have a new frontrunner!
If we can get Carmen Electra on the stripper pole, does it matter if it's Puccini on ocarinas?

Cafe Japon
Camie and I took Beanie to Cafe Japon, which is a pretty cool fusion of French and Japanese cuisine. Since we went for breakfast, I thought I'd pass it along to you...
Beanie trying hard to look cute, but looks more Bogie than Bacall!
After getting a paper butterfly, Beanie looks for things in the plants.
Beanie and Mama Vog lookin' especially sweet!
Ahh... a press pot of coffee! Excellent! Better cups than the normal Joe Holders, eh?
Beanie gets the "Japanese style" toast with strawberry jam... Looks like what we call Texas Toast! Tokyo Toast, then?
Camie goes for the brioche with the egg and Guryere cheese... very tasty!
I get the crepes with the egg in the middle and the ham and Guryere folded into the sides! Neat, eh?
An excellent place, and we'll be back!

Crazy Old Coot!
Now here we have a role model. At this point, Errol Flynn's pickled liver has rung up a few extra miles on the odometer, but does that stop him from chasing tail? Oh, hell no! He'll Die With His Boots On.
And when he finally kicked the bucket -- at 50! Yay, we're older than Errol Flynn -- what went into the coffin with him? 6 bottles of whiskey, connecting to our last post...

Great Combo of the Day
Who doesn't like Whiskey?
Who doesn't recognize the need for condoms?
And when need meets want? Why, Whiskey-Flavored Condoms of course!
